Transitions Overview
Transitions move us from scene to scene. Episode offers an array of transitions, from classic fades to dramatic irises.
Transition Syntax:
@transition STYLE DIRECTION [COLOR] [DURATION]
Examples:
@transition fade in black 2.0
@transition fade in white 3.5
Supported Styles and Directions:
@transition fade in/out
@transition iris in/out
@transition shade up/down
@transition curtain in_left
@transition curtain out_left
@transition curtain in_right
@transition curtain out_right
@transition curtain in_top
@transition curtain out_top
@transition curtain in_bottom
@transition curtain out_bottom
Transitions are available in the following colors:
- white
- yellow
- blue
- green
- red
- magenta
- black
- orange
- gray
Note: If you don’t specify a color, the transition will default to black.
Duration:
DURATION is in seconds and is represented by time in tenths of a second. The time is the length of time it takes for the transition to complete. The range is from 0.1 to infinity. However, since users can’t click through transitions, it’s best to keep them under 3 seconds.
Note: If you don’t specify duration, it will default to 1 second.
