We recently discovered that our pass accrual system was not working like it was supposed to and we’ve made a few changes to address this. We apologize for the confusion and hope we can explain what’s going on.
There are three types of passes a player can earn:
- Timer Passes, which will refill automatically over time but which have a maximum number.
- Reward Passes for completing Chapter Challenges.
- Purchased Passes that are bought from the in-app store.
Previously, some players were able to earn Timer Passes beyond this Timer Pass limit. This was not how the pass counters were intended to work and our team needed to correct this unintended behavior. Now that the fix is in place, you may not see Timer Passes recharge until you go below the maximum level for your Total Passes, which can vary depending on the amount of Purchased, Timer, and Reward Passes in your Episode account.
The fix should not affect your ability to earn Rewards Passes. This means if you have maxed out your Timer Passes on your account, and have just completed a Chapter Challenge, the Reward Passes will be added to your account, but your Timer Passes will stop being regenerated until you fall below the maximum amount again.
The same applies to Purchased Passes. As long as your total number of passes is greater than the maximum number of Timer Passes, your Timer Passes will not refill until your balance drops.
Please remember that both Rewards and Purchased Passes can only be used once and will not regenerate over time.
