Episode is NOT able to transfer Episode Accounts between Android and iOS devices.
This error message occurs when attempting to transfer an account from Android to iOS, or iOS to Android.
Please note, your Episode Account and your Episode Profile are different. Your Episode Account has your reading history, favorited stories, purchases, daily challenge streak progress, etc. Your Episode Profile is your email login, and has your stories you have written, your social feed, your profile page with the stories you have recommended, and is linked to your Episode Account. Your Episode Profile is also the same as your Writer's Portal account.
Episode Profiles can only be linked to one Episode Account. Logging in to your Episode Profile will also log you in to your Episode Account.
- If you are an author and need to link your Episode Profile email to your new Episode Account, please submit a support ticket.
- If you are transferring from iOS to iOS, or Android to Android, and are still receiving this message, please submit a support ticket.
- If you need to unlink your Episode Profile (email) from your Old Episode Account to have it linked to your New Episode Account, please submit a support ticket. Please note, this will NOT transfer your reading progress or favorited stories. It will simply allow you to log in to your new account on your new device with your Episode Profile email. Linking your email to your new account will unlink it from your old account. Any attempts to return to your old device and old account with the unlinked email will result in an error message.
