Device Guide!

When you’re writing your story, it’s often hard to tell whether your scenes will play well on both phones and tablets. With the new Device Guide directing helper tool, we’ve now made it possible for you to see how your story looks on both phones and tablets.

• This feature (as shown below) is currently in-app only but we’re working to get it into the Web Previewer as soon as we can!

The guides represent the average dimensions of phones and tablets.

• You might see some inconsistencies between all the different possible mobile devices available, but this should give you a rough idea of how the device will crop your story.

To turn on the guides, use the Guide Box helper on the left.

• Everything inside the green Tablet box is how your story appears to readers on tablets.
• Everything inside the red Phone box is how your story appears to readers on phones.

For tablet users, use the Zoom Fit helper on the left to zoom out and expand the view to cover phones.

Character Name Correction, Classic Style in the Automated Character Creator

The in-line character name corrector to make it easier for you to fix your mistakes.

Note that the dropdown will only include the characters you’ve already created, so if you made a typo for a new character, you’ll still want to use the “Skip” option.

We’re also excited to let you know that we got the tech to work with Classic! While it primarily works with the stock actors, you should now be able to also create Classic characters on the fly while writing your story.
