Creating a Discord Account

You can log in and use Discord on both your computer and mobile device. 

You can keep it open on your desktop for reference while you are coding your story, or access it from your mobile device to open story sharelinks and chat on the go!

Step 1: Go to the Discord Website or Download the App

Website: Open your web browser and go to the Discord website.

App: Alternatively, you can download the Discord app from the website for your computer (Windows, macOS) or from the app store for your mobile device (iOS, Android).

Step 2: Sign Up

On the Website:

Click on "Login": This button is located at the top-right corner of the page.

Select "Register": At the bottom of the login form, you'll see the option to register a new account. Click on it.

On the App:

Open the App: After downloading and installing, open the app.

Select "Register": On the app’s main screen, you'll see the option to register.

Step 3: Fill Out the Registration Form

Email Address: Enter a valid email address that you have access to.

Username: Choose a unique username. This is how you'll be identified on Discord.

Password: Create a strong password for your account.

Date of Birth: Enter your birth date. Discord requires this to ensure compliance with age-related regulations.

Agree to Terms: Read and agree to Discord's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Step 4: Verify Your Account

Email Verification: After submitting the registration form, Discord will send a verification email to the address you provided.

Open the Email: Check your email inbox (and spam/junk folder if you don't see it).

Click the Verification Link: Follow the link in the email to verify your email address.

Step 5: Complete Setup

Log In: After verification, log in to your new Discord account using your email and password.

Customize Profile: You can add a profile picture, set a status, and fill out any other details you want.

Additional Tips:

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): For added security, enable 2FA by going to User Settings > My Account > Enable Two-Factor Auth.

Discord Mobile App: Download the mobile app to stay connected on the go.
